Lifeline broadband benefit

Lifeline is a federal program that lowers the monthly cost of phone and internet to qualified households based on income eligibility and/or participation in other eligible assistance programs. Beginning 2022, Lifeline benefit applies to broadband internet only.

Step 1 – How to qualify and apply

To begin, you’ll need to qualify and apply for Lifeline.

  1. See if you qualify at lifelinesupport.org/do-i-qualify
  2. Apply for Lifeline at nv.fcc.gov
  3. Once approved for Lifeline, move on to step 2.

Step 2 – Consent

Required.
The name you use on official documents, like your Social Security Card or State ID. Not a nickname.
The address where you will get service. Do not use a P.O. Box.
